Detailed description of project Back
The contract covers a project by the Delegation of the European Union (DUE) in the Republic of Congo, focused on promoting youth engagement for 2024, decreed the “Year of Youth”. The project has two main components:
Pilot cohort of committed young people (2024-2025):
- Selection of 20 young Congolese aged 18 to 29 via a national campaign.
- Organization of training activities, field visits and meetings with EU representatives to strengthen young people’s civic participation and promote European values.
- The DUE aims to raise young people’s awareness of European actions and encourage their involvement in EU-Congo cooperation.
Creation of a permanent consultative platform for young people:
- Field analysis to better understand the Congolese youth ecosystem.
- Development of a roadmap for the creation of a consultative platform that will enable young people to express their views on DUE programs.
- This component will be finalized in 2025 and will serve as the basis for a subsequent project in 2026 to animate this platform.
