The global objective of the assignment is to promote gender equality in the disaster risk management sector.

The specific objectives of this assignment are to:

• Design a communication strategy and annual awareness campaign (3 years) for girls and women to study science, engineering and technology;
• Design a toolkit to enhance the role of the industrial attachment scheme in attracting more female interest in science, engineering and technology;
• Design an action plan for enhancing the role of women in the Sea and River Defence Board and other DRM sector related decision bodies.

Type of services provided

The services are provided by a team of three experts:

• Team Leader/Communications Specialist (90 w/d);
• Gender Specialist (55 w/d);
• Education Expert (50 w/d).
