Detailed description of project Back

As part of the EU-funded North Africa Regional Development and Protection Programme – Phase VI, implemented by the Italian Ministry of Interior, this project aims to strengthen child protection systems for migrant children in Tunisia.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is developing a training program for key actors, including child protection professionals, social workers, family court judges, and civil society. The goal is to build their capacity to apply Best Interests of the Child (BIC) procedures in line with international standards and adapted to the Tunisian context.

PROMAN, under its UNICEF Long-Term Agreement, has been contracted to consolidate and finalize the training curriculum. The assignment includes refining the content, defining learning objectives, formatting materials, and integrating adult learning (andragogical) approaches.

The result will be a structured 3-day training package with practical tools and exercises, designed to improve case management and ensure rights-based decision-making for migrant children.
