Detailed description of project Back
Coordination of Official Development Assistance (ODA) is essential for managing ODA resources for maximum realization of predetermined goals. The lack of ODA policy guidelines and resources mobilization strategy serves to undermine the goals of service delivery and access to much needed ODA resources.
The Directorate: Global Partnerships under the Chief Directorate: International Relations and Strategic Projects have engaged the International Development Cooperation (IDC) Unit at National Treasury for assistance with capacity building towards effective coordination of ODA within the Department of Public Works (DPW). The IDC government’s custodian of development cooperation has as its responsibility to develop capacity for management of ODA within government departments.
The capacity building sought, is aimed at ensuring the process of developing Policy Guidelines and Resources Mobilization Strategy for the effective and efficient management of ODA within DPW.IDC will enter into a formal contract with a preferred service provider to assist in the development of ODA Policy guidelines and resources mobilization strategy for DPW.
