Detailed description of project Back

The global objective for the technical assistance mission is to develop the competences of Tunisian universities in order to set up and implement their own development plan.

The specific objectives of the 5 TA missions are:

  • To start a study in order to analyse the technical, human and financial feasibility of the implementation of the observatories within the universities;
  • Based on the results of the study, to design the observatories : their members, missions, organisation, linkages with the Office for Studies, Planning and Programming (BEPP – Ministry of Higher Education);
  • To help in the implementation and the development of the observatories, for all Tunisian universities;
  • To monitor and evaluate the implemented observatories and to make suggestions for future developments;
  • To make suggestions concerning the reinforcement of the role of universities in the absorption of newly graduated students by the labour market.

Type of services provided

PROMAN is providing the services of :

  • One education economist, expert in higher education, head of mission;
  • One economist, expert in statistics.

The TA is organized in 5 missions, two in 2005 and three in 2006.
