Detailed description of project Back
Within the context of the bilateral cooperation between Senegal and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Lux-Development supports the Government of Senegal, specifically the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training, in the implementation of a cooperation project for the rehabilitation and construction of Female Technical Education Centres in Saint-Louis, Dagana, Podor and Matam.
Project SEN/018 aims to improve the performance of the Female Technical Education Centres through an intervention based on improving training programmes, strengthening teaching capacities and improving teaching methods, rehabilitation of infrastructures and construction of new centres as well as the implementation of a system for the follow-up of graduates to make their integration in the local economic fabric easier.
Restructuring these centres is provided for in the ten-year Plan for Education and Training of the Government of Senegal and in the Regional Education Development Plans of the Saint-Louis and Matam. At the start, the four centres will accommodate 650 pupils for vocational training.
The objective of this mission is to finalise the vocational training programme in use in the female vocational training centres in the Saint Louis area.
