The FACEJ project aims to stimulate inclusive growth in Mali by encouraging the creation and growth of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) driven by young people, particularly women.

Co-financed by the Kingdoms of Denmark and the Netherlands since 2019, FACEJ is entering its second phase of implementation. This project targets young women and men in Mali by playing a supporting role in the entrepreneurship ecosystem by facilitating access to financing, in close collaboration with partner financial institutions and supporting young people upstream and downstream of their loans to financial institutions.

The objective of this contract is structured around three fundamental pillars:

• Manage the FACEJ 2 Fund (€ 19 million) in a transparent and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with the standards and objectives set.
• Support young entrepreneurs in realizing their entrepreneurial ambitions, by offering them quality training, coaching and mentoring.
• Facilitate access to financing, in close collaboration with partner financial institutions.

Type of services provided

To ensure, on behalf of the Client, the management, monitoring & evaluation and closure of FACEJ activities through the following services:

• Facilitate the transfer between the outgoing manager and the new one;
• Finalize the activities of FACEJ I;
• Ensure the overall management of the FACEJ II fund in accordance with the FACEJ II Project Document;
• Identify capacity building needs and implement related activities;
• Ensure capitalization;
• Ensure the closure of FACEJ II.
