The development of small and micro enterprises is crucial within this context and asks for supporting measures to develop the entrepreneurship and to offer financial and non-financial services. The EU has been providing support through the Social Fund for Development (SDF). The assistance in the field of small enterprises development has been channelled through the Small Enterprise Development Organisation (SEDO) one of the SFD’s programmes.
