Detailed description of project Back
The Government of Burkina Faso adopted in 2002 an ‘Action Planfor Strengthening Budget Management (PRGB). This action plan serves as a framework for the priority reforms in budget management within the administration and has as global objective to improve in a sustainable way the transparency, reliability and efficacy of the management of budgetary expenses.
The coordination of the implementation of the PGRB has been entrusted to the Permanent Secretariat for the follow-up of Financial Policies and Programmes (SP/PPF). The SP/PPF requested the EC a global institutional support to help it in ensuring the monitoring of the PRGB implementation and to support the parties involved in order to speed up the implementation of the planned activities and the attainment of the their assigned objectives.
The objective of this assignment is to provide assistance to the SP/PPF in the identification and formulation of this institutional support taking into account the needs expressed, but also the programmes of support to the financial and economic administrations that are under implementation or being identified.
PROMAN provided the services of a public finance expert. For each of the following components, the expert identified the needs and proposed the details for their implementation:
