Detailed description of project Back
The global objective of the assignment is to provide reliable information on gender equality and women empowerment issues which will contribute to EU + programming at all levels from country strategies and EU responses to project levels.
The gender analysis will provide an understanding of whether gender inequalities persist in Nigeria and its causes, how it intersects with other inequalities, how it impacts on human rights enjoyment and/or benefits produced by and access to development efforts. It will also provide an understanding of Nigeria’s government’s commitment and capacity to work on GEWE issues.
The analysis will provide relevant and reliable information which the EU and Member States may use to (i) prepare gender sensitive development response strategies and (ii) contribute to the political dialogue.
