Detailed description of project Back
The overall objective of the project “Inclusive Education for Children with Special Needs in Uzbekistan” is to contribute to social inclusion in Uzbekistan. The specific objective is to improve the quality of education for children with special needs age 2 – 10 and promote their integration in the mainstream kindergartens and primary schools in Uzbekistan”. The project duration is 24 months.
The project is focusing on pre-school and to primary school (1-4 classes), and it promotes the inclusion of 1,200 children aged 2-10 with intellectual and motor disabilities and developmental delays. 200 children, with no previous education, will be included to mainstream schools and kindergartens, and 1,000 children who have already been in kindergartens will be included to mainstream schools.
The global objective of the final evaluation mission is to provide decision-makers in the Government of Uzbekistan, the relevant external co-operation services of the European Commission and the wider public with sufficient information to make an informed judgement about the main results of the programme development and implementation, paying particular attention to the expected impact of the project’s actions against its objectives.
