Technical assistance (TA) to support capacity development and institutional building in Namibia in the context of the implementation of the MIP and 11th EDF Programmes Back

The overall objective (Impact) to which this action contributes is:

• the socio-economic development of Namibia and the strengthening the EU-Namibia partnership.

The specific objective (Outcome) of this contract is as follows:

• To contribute to the successful implementation of the Government’s development strategy through the support of sound development programmes and ad hoc activities financed from the NDICI-Global Europe and other EU sources, as well as the implementation of the Strategic Communication and Public Diplomacy.

Qualifications

Qualifications and skills:

• At least a Bachelor’s degree academic level is required, preferably in the fields of accounting or finance or administration or management or procurement. A relevant postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.
• Written and oral communication skills in English of at least C2 level.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

General professional experience:

• At least four years’ professional experience in any of the following fields: accounting, finance, programme administration / coordination, human resource development, archiving, or event management is required.
• Three years’ experience in Namibia, or any other Southern African Development Community (SADC) country, would be an advantage.

Specific professional experience:

• At least two years’ experience in implementing EU-funded projects is required.
