The overall objective (Impact) to which this action contributes is: to contribute to the achievement of Multi-annual Indicative Programme (MIP) 2021-2027 priority  areas, with a particular focus on reforms carried out by the Government of Bangladesh. As such, the action will facilitate the implementation of EU strategic priorities in Bangladesh by providing funding for all necessary support operations

The specific objectives (Outcomes) of this contract are as follows:

  • Specific objective (Outcome) 1: Contribute to the achievement of the specific objectives and expected results defined in the Multi-annual Indicative Programme (MIP) for Bangladesh 2021-2027.
  • Specific objective (Outcome) 2: Support the implementation of the reforms agenda of the Government of Bangladesh in sectors of common priority.
  • Specific objective (Outcome) 3: Support the preparation, follow-up, monitoring, and evaluation of EU programmes and initiatives including Team Europe joint activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for applications from professionals with the following profiles (but not limited to): experience in preparing/contributing to policy dialogue, sectoral studies, (review and/or technical and/or programming and/or logistical) notes, (policy) briefs, analyses, event agendas, participants lists, mission programmes, mission reports, impact assessment reports, monitoring reports, evaluation reports, legal gap analytical reports, risk matrices, methodologies, user manuals, scenario mapping, tracking sheets, media products (e.g. infographics, podcasts, videos, campaigns, social media posts), capacity-building efforts; also experience in working with a variety of stakeholders, including public authorities, development partners, civil society (including experience in communication); experience in working in complex development settings, familiarity with EU development cooperation frameworks (e.g. MIP 2021–2027, NDICI – Global Gateway), and Bangla/other local language skills in addition to English.

Non-key experts shall be classified as follows:

  • Senior non-key expert: An expert with at least ten (10) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Junior non-key expert: An expert with at least (3) years of relevant professional experience.

All non-key experts will have:

  • A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a field relevant to the specific assignment (e.g. renewable energy, green transition, sustainable economic development, SMEs, digitalisation, governance reforms, private sector development, gender, etc.) and/or in business administration or, in the case of a Bachelor’s degree, additional 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Excellent oral and written English (C1).
