Technical Assistance for the development and implementation of the Pacific Youth Sounding Board Back
Global objective:
The overall objective (Impact) to which this action contributes is:
- To enhance meaningful participation of Malawian youth in shaping, monitoring, and disseminating EU initiatives, ensuring that EU actions in Malawi are inclusive, relevant, and responsive to the aspirations and needs of young people, especially of the vulnerable youth.
Specific objective:
- To provide technical, administrative and communication support to the MW-YSB to efficiently and effectively implement its role and fulfil its mandate.
Qualifications and skills required:
- The expert should have at least a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in a discipline relevant to youth development, communication/development studies, social/political science, public policy or other relevant field related to this assignment;
- Fluency in written and spoken English;
- Knowledge of Chichewa will be an added advantage.
General professional experience:
- At least 3 years of proven professional experience relevant to at least one of the fields mentioned above in Sub-Saharan Africa, of which at least 2 years in Malawi.
Specific professional experience:
- At least 3 years of proven experience in implementing projects (including capacity building) targeting youth in any area relevant to the MIP for Malawi;
- Prior experience in establishing Youth Advisory Structures is a strong asset;
- Research, report writing, networking and communications – including social media and event organisation competences are a strong advantage.
