Technical Assistance for the development and implementation of the Pacific Youth Sounding Board Back

Global objectives:

The overall objective (Impact) to which this action contributes is:

  • To strengthen civil society, gender and youth organisations as independent actors of governance and development in their own right.

Specific objectives:

  • Support the development of an inclusive and open dialogue with young people and youth organisations, while strengthening their capacities for civic engagement.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Masters in international relations, social science, economics, law, policy or directly related discipline or bachelor in the same field plus 4 years of relevant professional experience;
  • Excellent English;
  • One of the Pacific Island local language will be an asset.

General professional experience:

  • At least 12 years of experience in consultancy based work, including experience with EU networks as an advantage;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Pacific Island Countries’ national/ international policies and laws (Youth and Civil Society Organisations related).

Specific professional experience:

  • Experience in development and cooperation policies and priorities for international organizations;
  • At least 2 years cumulative work experience dealing with youth engagement;
  • Previous experience working with Pacific Island countries is an asset.
