EU Delegation Jordan Cultural Activities 2025-2026 Back

The overall objective of this contract is to design and implement the PNT Heritage Award (2025 and 2026 editions).

The specific objectives of the 2025 and 2026 editions of the PNT Heritage Award are as follows:

  1. Promote Jordan’s Cultural Preservation: To recognise and honor exceptional projects in the preservation, including the impact of climate change, of tangible, intangible, and digital heritage in Jordan.
  2. Strengthen Community Involvement: To encourage local communities to take an active role in preserving and promoting their cultural heritage, fostering a deeper connection to Jordan’s cultural identity, fully in line with gender equality approach and respect of culture of indigenous people.
  3. Raise public awareness of EU-Jordan partnership: significantly increase the number of Jordanians receiving information on EU activities and on EU development projects, programmes, policies and actions in Jordan.
  4. Improve the knowledge and understanding of the EU and its related partnership activities among decision-makers, opinion-makers and specific segments of the general public in Jordan.

Qualifications

Qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, international relations, public relations, heritage management, or a related field.
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic (both oral and written).
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using social media and digital communication tools.
  • Strong understanding of media in Jordan and the region.
  • Capacity to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, including internet navigation and various office applications.
  • All experts should be readily available to interact with the EU Delegation to Jordan and the PNT on a regular, well-structured basis.
  • Work under this assignment will entail close, in-person communication with local stakeholders in the framework of event organisation.

General professional experience:

  • All experts should have proven work experience in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region in fields relevant to the present assignment (culture, event management and communication).
  • Proven work experience in Jordan will be considered an asset.

Specific professional experience:

  • All experts should have prior experience working on international development/cooperation projects, ideally EU funded projects:
    – Proven experience in managing partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
    – Strong understanding of heritage preservation and the cultural sector.
    – Experience in event management and strategic planning.
