The Overall Objective (Impact) of this Action is to promote a peaceful and inclusive society for sustainable development, including through the promotion of access to justice for all and building effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels [SDG 16].

The specific objectives (Outcomes) of this contract are as follows:

• Outcome 1 : To provide support to the EU to implement its Civil Society Road Map, Gender Action Plan III and the Country Level Implementation Plan, to support long-term capability development of Civil Society to achieve results, to work in networks and better influence policies; and to contribute to a conducive environment that enables CSOs to be development actors. It will provide resources to support CSOs’ innovations within the MIP priorities.
• Outcome 2: To support active citizenship to achieve sustainable and inclusive development paying special attention to EU policies of Global Gateway and the Just Energy Transition Partnership.

Qualifications

Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelors’ Degree in the fields of social sciences, communication or a related discipline.

General professional experience:

• A minimum of 3 years general experience in management / logistics.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in utilising various media, including online and digital platforms for information dissemination.
• Demonstrated experience in organising events.

Specific professional experience:

• A minimum of two experiences of developing and utilising project monitoring plans.
• Knowledge of EU procurement rules will be an advantage.
• Experience in South Africa with civil society will be an advantage.
