Technical Assistance – Youth Sounding Board Back

The objective of the project is to contribute to enhanced youth engagement and youth inclusion in the EU Delegation to Ethiopia’s programmes and policies.

The specific objectives (Outcomes) of this contract are as follows:

• SO1: To provide technical and administrative assistance to the EU Delegation’s Youth Sounding Board to efficiently and effectively implement its role and fulfil its mandate.
• SO2: To assist the EU Delegation in closing the second cohort of the YSB and in setting up the third cohort of the Youth Sounding Board by the end of the tenure of the ongoing Board (December 2025).

Qualifications

Qualifications and skills:

• Completed University Studies of at least 3 years in accounting and finance or relevant field, attested by Diploma. In its absence, 5 years of equivalent professional experience.
• Language skills: English – Fluent Amharic – Fluent.

General professional experience:

• At least 3 years professional experience in financial management, accounting, budgeting, planning and reporting on donor- funded projects.

Specific professional experience:

• At least 3 years’ experience in financial management, accounting and administration of EU-funded projects. At least 3 years’ experience in logistical planning, procurement, asset management and financial reporting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer skills.
• The following knowledge and experience will constitute additional assets: Knowledge of the Ethiopian context (previous work experience in Ethiopia).
