The overall objective of the assignment is to enhance South Africa’s trade and business opportunities by promoting the full implementation of the EU-SADC EPA in South Africa while advancing regional integration.

The purpose of this assignment is to design the ‘Support Programme to the implementation of the EU–SADC Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) in South Africa’, taking in to account the preliminary work that has been done by the EU Delegation to SA and the government (specifically the findings of the Identification Study). In doing so it is expected that the team will provide the EU Delegation with a complete Action Document and related annexes such as the Logframe and Key Performance Indicators for Budget Support (if applicable), informed and approved by necessary Government stakeholders, and supported by the identification study and any further needed detailed scoping of possible feasible interventions to be funded under this programme that are likely to be supported by the SA government.
