The objective of the mission is to undertake the final evaluation of the “Project to Support Cultural Initiatives in PALOP” covering five African Portuguese speaking countries (PALOP) and Timor-Leste (TL), whose interventions focused on capacity building of professionals in the field of protection, enhancement and promotion of historical and cultural heritage of PALOP/TL as well as the rehabilitation of some infrastructures and supporting initiatives of cultural operators and institutional entities to safeguard cultural heritage and artistic promotion.

The evaluation focused specifically on :

• Appreciate the contribution of the project to safeguard, develop and promote cultural heritage of the PALOP-TL in support of socio-economic and human development; to determine if cooperation with the EU contributed to the development of PALOP-TL in cultural, artistic and promotion of historical heritage protection;
• Based on good practices and lessons learned, contribute to the identification of actions, areas of cooperation in the cultural sector; improve management procedures and identify more relevant implementing mechanisms to achieve the objectives of the PALOP-TL 11^th EDF Programme.

The mission is undertaken by a team of 2 experts:

• Team Leader/Culture expert;
• Junior expert.

PROMAN provides the services of the Team leader.

PROMAN oversees overall implementation and quality control.
