Detailed description of project Back
The Luxembourg Agency for Development Cooperation (Lux-Development) is in the process of Formulation of the above mentioned project as mandated by, the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) within the context of the Bilateral Agreement between the governments of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Republic of Namibia.
The project was requested by the Rundu Town Council and Katima Mulilo Town Council. The two Town Councils expressed the need for additional assistance in Development Planning, water and sanitation. The National Planning Commission (NPC) confirmed the need and the prioritisation within the National Development Plan – II (NDP-II).
In October 2005, the NPC submitted a Project request prepared by the Ministry of Regional and Local Government, Housing and Rural Development (MRLGHRD) for the formalisation of informal settlements and additional assistance in Water and sanitation in the Towns of Rundu (Kavango Region) and Katima Mulilo (Caprivi Region) taking into account two major components:

Type of services provided
PROMAN provides the services of an expert in urban structure management, specifically in the domain of water and sanitation.
This expert works in team witha Town Planner expert, who will act as the Team Leader.
The main tasks of the team are:
PROMAN HQ is providing backstopping and quality control.
