Detailed description of project Back
In the context of the bilateral cooperation agreement between Senegal and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Lux-Development supports the Senegal Government, specifically the Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in the implementation of a cooperation project that aims to rehabilitate and construct Female Technical Education Centres (CETF) in Saint-Louis, Dagana, Podor and Matam.
Project SEN/018 aims to improve the performance of the Female Technical Education Centres through an intervention based on improving training programmes, strengthening teaching capacities and improving teaching methods, rehabilitation of infrastructures and construction of new centres as well as the implementation of a system for the follow-up of graduates to make their integration in the local economic fabric easier.
Restructuring these centres is provided for in the ten-year Plan for Education and Training of the Government of Senegal and in the Regional Education Development Plans of the Saint-Louis and Matam. At the start, the four centres will accommodate 650 pupils for vocational training.
The main purpose of this mission is to carry out an intermediary evaluation of the project.
