Detailed description of project Back
The project PROPOLI was identified in 1995. Due to political reasons it was not implemented at that time and re-launched later on upon the agreement between the EC and the Peruvian Government. (December 2002).
PROPOLI is one of the most important projects implemented in Peru within the framework of the international cooperation related to the poverty reduction in the country. The national entity involved is the “Ministerio de la Mujer y Desarrollo Social (MIMDES).
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the reduction of poverty in 10 districts of Lima which have been divided in the following areas: North, South and East.
Activities will focus on the following main components:
The Project operates as a facilitator, providing resources for the execution of actions from the local actors (districts, NGOs, consultants).
The evaluation mission was carried out by a European TL, expert in social and economic development and a local expert in decentralisation and local governance. Both experts were provided by PROMAN.
PROMAN HQ was responsible of the backstopping of the mission and quality control of the reports.
