Detailed description of project Back

The BMT project promotes modern high-level business management training in China, based on European best practice and experience paired with exposure to real business practices in China. It transfers knowledge on European business management models and market economics, European business ethics, corporate governance, social and environmental responsibility, European macro-economic issues and, in the broadest sense, Sino-European relations to China. The project consists of five components:

  • Promotion of business management training in China;
  • Development of joint academic programmes and activities;
  • Academic and corporate interactions;
  • Scholarships and exchange programmes;
  • European Union visibility in China.

The specific objectives of the final evaluation of the BMT Project are:

  • To assess the achievements and short-comings of the BMT project with regard to relevance, design, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability;
  • To identify and describe best practices in technical and managerial aspects of the various interventions under the different project components, focussing on the running of a joint EU-China higher education establishment and the implementation of an EU grant programme;
  • To draw conclusions and lessons learned and to suggest how these lessons can feed into on-going and future project and policy planning, programming and identification/formulation work of the European Commission and the Government of China.
