The overall objective (Impact) to which this Facility is to enhance the EU-Indonesia partnership.

The Specific Objectives (Outcomes) of this Facility are as follows:

  • Specific objective (Outcome) 1: Continue and reinforce EU-Indonesia relations and policy dialogues;
  • Specific objective (Outcome) 2: Promote an increased alignment between EU-Indonesia interests, principles, policies, and values, including human rights and gender equality, with a particular focus on the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
  • Specific objective (Outcome) 3: Build increased public awareness, understanding and approval of the EU and its role in Indonesia, the region and the world;
  • Specific objective (Outcome) 4: Enhance climate, biodiversity and environmental management, mainstreaming and monitoring, as well as conservation, sustainable, management use and restoration of natural resources.

Qualifications

Qualifications and skills:

  • University degree, with at least a postgraduate degree in areas relevant to the job;
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills;
  • Fluency in English, including for public audiences and report writing;
  • Strong analytical skill and computer literacy.

General professional experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of general professional experience in international cooperation. This may include cooperation in areas such as economy, trade and investments, democracy and human rights, as well as human development;
  • At least 5 years of working experience in project, people, and resources management in an international context.

Specific professional experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in managing an international team of experts, including in delivering complex, multi-year projects involving a variety of stakeholders;
  • At least 3 years of working experience in international cooperation projects either in South East Asia or related to South East Asia; Specific experience in Indonesia is an asset;
  • Proven experience of working with EU and/or Indonesian governmental and public authorities;
  • Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is an asset;
  • Knowledge of the broad spectrum of EU policies in areas such as trade, environment, connectivity, human rights etc.
