The overall objective (Impact) to which this action contributes is to enhance Namibia’s inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

The specific objective (Outcome) of this contract is: Enhanced competitiveness of value chains and their export potential

Qualifications

Qualifications and skills:

• At least a Master’s Degree academic level, preferably in the field of international trade, or economics, or regional integration. In its absence: an additional 5 years of experience in the field of trade in addition to the 10 years of general professional experience;
• Written and oral communication skills in English of at least C2 level.

General professional experience:

• At least 10 years’ experience in the field of trade, especially in policy, or facilitation or negotiation support;
• At least 6 years of experience in project management.

Specific professional experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in trade negotiation support or trade agreement implementation;
• Experience with EU trade agreements including EPAs;
• At least 3 years of experience in capacity building or training;
• Experience with Southern Africa economies, and especially of the Namibian one will be an asset;
• Experience with the SADC-EU EPA will be an asset.
