Global objective of the project is support the Ministry of economy to optimize, consolidate and streamline the parafiscal charges in the Republic of North Macedonia.

Specific objective(s):

  • Improve the transparency and predictability of the parafiscal levies by creating a legal and institutional set-up for introduction, monitoring and modification of levies that have feature of parafiscal charges;
  • Increase the capacity of the public authorities (in particular the ministries) to optimize, consolidate and prevent introduction of unjustified parafiscal charges;
  • Optimize, consolidate and streamline at least 100 parafiscal charges applied to businesses;
  • Increase the public awareness about parafiscal charges among the business community.


General description of the position:

  • Expert category: Cat. II (>6 years of experience)

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Master degree in economy, accounting, auditing, law or other relevant subject area, or in its absence 5 years above the required general professional experience.
  • Full computer literacy.

General professional experience:

  • Minimum six (6) years of general professional experience in the area of private sector development in the Republic of North Macedonia.

Specific professional experience:

  • Experience in at least one project in providing capacity building of public bodies to improve business environment;
  • Experience in the area of fiscal charges of private companies shall be considered an advantage.

Language skills:.

  • Fluency in English language, both written and spoken;
  • Fluency in Macedonian language, both written and spoken, shall be an asset.
