El objetivo general de la misión es apoyar la formulación del nuevo programa del MIP 2021-27 ‘Reducir las desigualdades a través del desarrollo económico inclusivo en Guatemala’
La misión tiene como objetivo específico contribuir, con su análisis e insumos, en la formulación de la nueva Team Europe Initiative de la Unión Europea y los Estados Miembros: ‘Reducir las desigualdades a través del desarrollo económico inclusivo en Guatemala’
Qualifications
Qualifications and skills:
- Masters degree in the field of Economics, Business Administration, International Trade or any other relevant field in relation to the assignment.
- Excellent management/leadership and interpersonal skills, high flexibility and capacity to work under pressure with very tight deadlines.
- Sound Knowledge of the Project Cycle Management, in particular formulation phase and log frames.
- Excellent report writing skills and drafting of Action Documents in line with EU guidelines.
- Sound analytical skills and ability to work with partners from different backgrounds i.e. public and private sector, CSOs.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in IT applications relevant to the assignment.
General professional experience:
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in the formulation of EU funded trade and investment, regional integration, private sector development programmes, preferably in Central America.
- Sound experience in the formulation of EU funded SMEs and cooperatives development projects, in particular through digitization and innovation, preferably in Central America (at least 3 assignments).
- Sound experience in the formulation of EU funded projects in support of SMEs with a value chain approach and supporting new economic models based on circular and green economy, preferably in Central America (at least 3 assignments).
Specific professional experience:
- Specific experience in the formulation of Team Europe Initiatives (at least one experience) preferably in the area of inclusive economic development; Alliance for Sustainable Growth and Jobs or related areas.
- Sound knowledge of EU-CA Association Agreement SICA.
- Sound knowledge of EU Regulation on deforestation-free products and the Due Diligence Directive.
- Sound knowledge of EU key policies and priorities such as Green Deal, EU-LAC Digital Alliance, Alliance for Sustainable Growth and Jobs, GAP III and other related policies.
Language skills:
- Proficiency level of English and Spanish.
