Improving access to basic social services for people affected by the crisis in the region of Kidal (II)

The objective of this emergency project is to contribute in creating minimum conditions allowing health and education facilities in the region to provide basic social services to vulnerable populations.

Main activities include :

• Purchase of drugs and supplies for health centres;
• Support operations of school canteens;
• Purchase of textbooks for students;
• Rehabilitation and equipment of health centres;
• Construction of staff houses for teachers;
• Financial support to nurses, midwives, physicians, teachers;
• Support operations of mobile health teams.

Type of services provided

The project is implemented by a team of 3 experts:

• One coordinator (based in Bamako);
• One local manager (based in Kidal);
• One technician.

The team oversees overall planning, contracting and supervision of the programme, with support of PROMAN HQ.
