Detailed description of project Back

The IDC has implemented initiatives to strengthen ODA Co-ordination as well as working towards the efficient and effective operational management of the ODA.One of the challenges being experienced is being able to keep all IDC (and ODA) stakeholders informed and up to date with relevant information.With this in mind, the IDC is gearing towards the development of focused activities to regularly update and keep its stakeholders informed, increase and enhance the visibility of the programme, thereby creating another mechanism for information sharing as well as transparency.

Specifically, the objectives were:

  • Systematic internal communication;
  • Ensure that DCMIS information is up-to-date;
  • Establish a system for sound customer relations;
  • Ensure full internal information accessibility;
  • Provide clear explanation of South Africa’s ODA needs to stakeholders;
  • Provide information on ODA to IDC’s stakeholders.

Therefore the objective of this project is the development of tools to increase the visibility of the IDC as well as to keep key stakeholders informed. An informative newsletter would be developed on a quarterly basis, which will focus on the IDC as well as ODA projects.It will also feature articles from key stakeholders and pertinent project information will be published therein. The IDC – ODA interactive management information system will also be updated and visibility and branding tools will be developed for donor and stakeholder events.
