Detailed description of project Back

The Asia-Link Programme is an initiative by the European Commission to promote regional and multilateral networking between higher education institutions in EU Member States and South Asia, South-East Asia and China. The programme aims to encourage the creation of new partnerships, reinforce existing partnerships between European and Asian universities, and create new sustainable links.A total budget of €40 million has been allocated to fund the programme over a five-year period, valid until the end of 2005.

The objective of the mission is to provide the European Commission with the appropriate technical assistance to assess the technical and financial quality of proposals to be submitted under the second deadline of the second call for proposals under the Asia-Link Programme. The aim of this assessment is to allow the Commission to identify those projects that will be selected for funding.

Type of services provided

PROMAN provided a team of seven qualified experts in the fields of Human Resources development, Curriculum development and Institutional and Systems development.The assessors carried out a written assessment of each project proposal using an Evaluation Grid provided by the European Commission.
