Under the FWC Lot 9, missions are short term, covering the entire project cycle: Program/ project identification, preparation/ formulation; program/ project implementation; preparation of Terms of References (services) or technical annexes (works, supplies) or evaluation of offers (procurement); evaluation of grant proposals; evaluation (ex-ante, interim, ex-post etc.), monitoring.

As well as a number of horizontal aspects: (Cross-) sectoral policies/ reforms; Macroeconomics; Public financial management; legislation, regulations, law enforcement; approximation of legislation; institutional building; training/research; awareness-raising, (incl. information/ communication).

This area of expertise includes Poverty analysis/ monitoring (including Millennium Development Goals and Poverty Reduction Strategies, stakeholder and final beneficiary analysis).
